Default spec for SMB: Netstar Cat6 patch cords + faceplates + keystone modules; jump to Cat6A only if 10GBASE-T capability is explicitly required to 100 m. Rack sizing rule: 24U for SMB MDFs, 32-42U for enterprise. Don't mix Netstar passive with CommScope or Panduit on the same channel certification — the warranty is voided if a tier-1 branded channel test requires all components from the certified vendor. For tier-1-warranty projects, spec Netstar racks + cable management but tier-1 patch cords + jacks on the certified links.
