Default starter spec: Ravtron 2MP HD-CVI bullet × 4 + 8-channel DVR + 1TB Toshiba S300. For IP step up to Ravtron NVRs (8/16/32-channel) + their IP camera line. Don't expect smart analytics — motion detection works but person / vehicle / face classification is unreliable. Avoid Ravtron for PTZ deployments where Hikvision / Prama / Axis is genuinely better. Storage at 2MP HD-CVI 24/7 record: ~5 GB/day/camera (similar to CP Plus). RMA workflow runs through Y5's Ravtron channel rep — turnaround is typically 7-10 days, longer than CP Plus's same-week SLA.
