How we spec it._
Default OLT spec: SY-GPON-OLT-8 port handles up to 1,024 ONTs (128 per port). For larger deployments use the 16-port OLT chassis. Single-band Wi-Fi ONTs (SY-GPON-1110P-WB) are fine for sub-rooms; for residential or office endpoints use dual-band Wi-Fi ONTs (SY-GPON-2010-WADONT). Fibre runs: single-mode OS2 to all building MDFs; multi-mode only for sub-300m intra-MDF links. PON splitter strategy: prefer 1:32 splits over 1:64 unless you've modelled the optical budget carefully. Note: Syrotech firmware updates are infrequent — bake the patching cadence into the customer's NetOps runbook.
